St. Patrick's Day or Green Beer...hmmmm

March 17, 2010 Shem took off work early and we went downtown to a city St. Patrick's Day event. Everything cool happens in Bricktown, which is downtown Oklahoma City. Yup. Everything's made of bricks. We all wore green and, of course, Grandma had to pinch us. We were expecting Irish food and green beer. There was plenty of green beer... and barbecue. Um...Maybe they were thinking of Southern Ireland? At any rate, Grandma had two green beers and enjoyed watching all the families and little kids adorned in an array of green outfits. If it had been 10 degrees warmer it would have been perfect weather. As you can see, Grandma's bruises are getting better. Her surgery went very well Monday, although her left eye seems more red than the right one was. Fortunately, we have a vigilant ophthalmologist who's staying on top of it. She had an appointment Tuesday and will have another April 1. Back to studying... (Thanks, Mark and Mary, for the boxes...I think. I won't have time to look in them for a few weeks. Hope that's okay.)
