Of leaves and dog poop

While I'm in here studying, she and Shem are raking the lawn and cleaning up dog poop. Looks like she won't have to do her exercises today! She'll be tired tonight! She's having such a good time here!

Non-Alcoholic Wine

Considering this is a dry state, why is it so difficult to find non-alcoholic wine?

This weekend is considered "security weekend," which means cameras and locks will be installed. I'm thankful for a man who knows how to do this and loves our mother enough to take really good care of her. He thinks about her all the time and is taking great effort to take care of her.

I'm so grateful for this man!

Why doesn't Larry love his mother beyond what money he can get out of her? Doesn't he know he, personally, makes five times what she gets from social security? How can he send his children on mission trips to witness to others when he doesn't practice it himself with his own family? What a beast!

Seroquel

Today Mom slept 15.5 hours, thanks to Seroquel. Evidently she woke herself up when she emitted a rather impressive fart, heard some three rooms away. Well, at least her bowels are moving...

Unfortunately, she's not tolerating Seroquel well (it's a rhyme!). The doctor prescribed something else for sleeping. Let's just hope Libby can get her on a schedule, not only in terms of sleeping, but also eating healthy foods. (I just ate two hot dogs~all beef.) Libby's also finding most of her wine stashes. A few are still awaiting discovery.

Libby's also learning that sewer roaches in Arizona are the size of skateboards. She's afraid to go on the back porch. Can't say I blame her. Hey Libby, ride the waves, dude!

We're all learning about a disease we never wanted to learn about. I believe it's currently killing 4 million Americans a year and is expected to triple in the near future.

In the meantime, we're learning to laugh and roll with it. I'm already prepared for her to be angry with me and, perhaps, attack me for bringing her here. It's what's best for her and that's what counts. She can be angry, but at least she'll be safe with people who love her.

Josh has graciously offered to babysit her every other Wednesday so we will get a break.

Please pray for all of us!

Graham Cracker

Sigh. The things I've been hearing about Mom. This saintly nurse has become a loud-mouthed, cussing bitch. This is not the woman who raised me.

The woman who raised me liked baking chocolate cakes. She popped her gum while she baked. One day she spent an entire day making a chocolate pie (she loves chocolate). The minute Bruce got home from school, he pulled it out of the frig and promptly dumped it on the floor. Was she mad? No! She laughed. My mom loves to laugh.

She doesn't do that anymore.
